The foundation will help young people passionate about music to study music of various genres by affording them an optimal education in connection with the Music School Grassau. As basis of the foundation’s work, Professor Wolfgang Swallisch has specified that the responsibility of financing the currently customary management of the music school should continue to reside with the municipality and the state.

The following guidelines apply:

1. Sponsored students must be enrolled at the Music School Grassau.

2. All kinds of musical genres will be supported, especially folkloric music, music for brass instruments, and classical music training.

3. In cases of direct sponsorship, talent, a passion for music, and financial need will be considered.

4. Sponsored students are expected to support the interests of the foundation.

5. The foundation’s decision-making process will remain with the foundation’s leadership. In principle, there is no claim for sponsorship. All music students are eligible to apply.

6. Any communication directed outwards will be consistent and in agreement with the leadership.

7. Personal commitment, enthusiasm, and personal interest in the musical life of the Music School Grassau are expected from the Foundation’s Council and the Foundation’s Leadership Committee.
