Highest awards and honors at home and abroad have confirmed Professor Wolfgang Sawallisch's high position and appreciation as a musican all over the world.

For many years he has supported the Musikschule of his hometown Grassau. He has established the non-profit Wolfgang-Sawallisch-Foundation for sustainable advancement.

Music inspires …

Students, as well as teachers, from the Musikschule Grassau and its branches in Marquartstein and Reit im Winkl, have enriched in approximately 400 performances the musical and cultural life of the entire Chiemgau.
